The lack of a compass in inexcusable and absolutely ridiculous! From the first Garmin GPS model 20 years ago, all GPS units and iPhone applications like Google Maps and Apple Maps have a compass display. Why do the Waze developers believe that they have a serious navigation application without having a compass? Are we all supposed to be like Boy Scouts and carry a magnetic compass in our car glove boxes?
Please don’t respond that stating that the Waze developers are prohibited by Apple from adding the compass to the CarPlay display because there are too many things on the screen. I have heard this old and worn-out explanation and it doesn’t make sense. I am a very experience software developer. Give me the code and I will add the compass within a week!!
