Hi all,
Saddle Junction in Wigan has always been a nightmare to navigate for outsiders. I think it’s important for lane guidance to be implemented here. Is it something a Level 4 editor could take on? I have seen that lane guidance cannot be added to roundabouts but, if something could be done to improve the navigation on this area a little more, I think a lot of drivers would appreciate it. If not, I understand completely

Thank you.
What a nightmare!
As you rightly say, we can’t have lane guidance ON a roundabout. And we already seem to have lane guidance leading up to forks which are not roundabouts.
What I have been able to do is to improve (I hope) the instructions, both displayed and voice. (The display only affects Waze on some platforms, but I think the voice is for all of them). I’ve tried to match up with the road signs (assuming Streetview is up to date, which of course it may not be), quoting signed road numbers and destinations rather than road names.
Please check; I don’t know the area and it’s quite easy to make mistakes.
Ian
Hi Ian - yes, the Street View is up-to-date.
From what you’ve done, I think that will help more. I’ll take a look further when the maps update and I can take a drive there. Thank you again
