I started a To-Do List for TN, just so we have something to work with, and so we wouldn’t have a dead link.

I figured there should be at least some discussion on how to best format it, so…discuss.

Good idea (I think). I’ve decided to recently increase my area to all of Hamilton County (yeah, I know, really big huh :smiley: ).

Lots of the major work looks good, but subdivisions vary from complete to a total mess. Anyway, I’ll help in any way I can. Cheers.

I’m fixing up the Major/Minor and Primary Roads in Cleveland right now. Then I’ll be working my way back north, probably to Athens. Keep up the good work :slight_smile: But now I have to write an essay, and while I’m at it, study for an exam…

Well, I kinda ran with the Wiki page and it’s pretty good now. It just needs data (that stays updated).

And yes, I am still alive :slight_smile: Thanks to the few of you out there that checked up on me!

February was filled with a few thousand miles of traveling and then things have gotten hectic at work with both planned and unplanned projects and incidents.

I have tried to stay on top of URs in my region, but that is about it. Today is the first day I have read any forum posts in a loooong time. It will probably take me a while to catch up :wink:

I have updated it to add myself as an AM to several counties. It looks pretty good, but the Nashville wiki page looks like it needs to get off the ground. Since there hasn’t been much interest in developing that page before and the area has already made good strides in development, do you still think that it is necessary?

The Nashville page is just a stock page that we already had. I just linked to it. No one has taken ownership of it, so I guess it could just be removed.

And thank you for adding yourself! I’m always glad when we can fill in a few of those blank spots :slight_smile:

I always hate to wake an old thread but… I assume that we are still trying to keep this Wiki up to date and some newer folks may want to see this. If the Wiki page is going to be up to date can someone sticky this thread?

As a new Tennessee editor, I would love to see the Wiki updated. One thing I noticed in Pleasant View, TN recently was that there’s a street named “State Hwy 49” on some segments and “State Rte 49” on others. I read a recommendation on the Wiki from a couple of years ago that the naming convention be “State Hwy #”, but there was no mention there if most TN editors agree on that.

According to https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Highway_naming/USA in Tn we should use “State Hwy XXX”

As an AM in East Tn. I am trying to change these as I find them. I try to follow https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Road_names/USA as best as possible

I have gone through our wiki page and have completely revamped it to more recent standards. I hope you like the changes I’ve made. Please feel free to edit it yourself and add more detail as you see fit. Please ask within this thread if you have questions about updating the wiki.
