Hi Guys,

Grabbed the windows mobile release of waze just after it became available yesterday, and i’ve got a couple of questions (apologies if these are a bit noob-ish!):

  1. I’m in the uk and the map is blank when i’m driving around (i have gps & data no problem, the compass in waze turns, and if i report traffic: i can see the traffic icon on my screen just behind my car’s icon and it slowly dissapears as i slowly crawl forward!) is this simply because there’s no map data for my part of the uk?

  2. I’ve done several trips with waze (two last night, one this morning) and my dashboard on the site still doesnt show any recent journeys

  3. I reported three traffic jams this morning on my daily commute, the waze app reported success, but there’s no evidence of them on the live map?

  4. had a look at update map in IE8 & Opera 10, it looks a little broken :slight_smile: the tiles on the map all fail to load (i just get pink squares).

  2. The first recordings in my country (the Netherlands) took a few days. Now, it usually takes anywhere between 0-48 hours.

  3. Don’t really know about that one, but check out the ‘reports’ (on your mobile client). If they are in there, they have been successfully reported. They will show up on other clients, but I think Waze filters the live map for US reports only.

  4. They are working on ‘cartouche’ (the update map functionality). It has been a bit buggy the last week or so.

My traffic reports did appear on my client under reports, and the distances increased as I got further away so I guess that’s that :slight_smile:
