I propose combining the two one-way paths here into a two-way, single road.

Based on my understanding of the style guide, having the roadway split as it is right now is not necessary and just adds to map clutter and potential navigation/TTS troubles.

Thoughts?

I can’t see any need for it to be split. Might route better because it will prevent u-turns at the ramps if un-split.

You want to tackle it? I can unlock the roads for you.

Yeah I drove through there the other day and noticed it just didn’t look right. No navigation errors from the one time I went through, but you are right that it should prevent u-turns. Please do unlock and I’ll fix it up. Ramps there should be unlocked too so I can properly connect them and tidy it all up.

I will re-lock at level 3 when done, and let you know if you want to lock it higher.

I unlocked what I could and put in a request for a staff unlock for the rest.

Probably shouldn’t have done that until the staff unlocks were done. Now nobody will be routed NB. Maybe make a temporary ramp so if the staff unlock is delayed, we don’t break routing.

Yeah for some reason my editor seemed like things were unlocked at those junctions, and when I had done part of it (then saved) I suppose it refreshed and the segments were showing as locked. I will try to fix that best I can for now to avoid routing issues until a staff member unlocks the other segments.

Please keep an eye on it and report any problems to me or other area champs. It is an extremely wide intersection and we may need to add the left turn lanes back in if Waze isn’t giving the correct instructions. I tried to split the difference between the turn lanes and the through lanes, so it should work OK.

Gotcha, I’ll keep an eye be sure to drive through there when I can after it updates.
