I am moving into our new home in Scottsville, KY and every time I give someone our new address Waze brings them to a location that is directly across the river from our house. I tried to find out why so I entered our address at 1226 Old River Road, Scottsville, KY. and was brought to a location on Berry Store Road, Glasgow KY. The location on Berry Store Road is across the Barren River from our home. I could see our house from this location but there’s no bridge to access it. FYI, Google Maps did the same thing but Apple Maps worked flawlessly.
You’re getting a wrong result likely for the following reasons.
I suspect that your address is not native to Waze and is pulling data from Google Maps which has the address listed incorrectly. Hence why both are wrong.
I’ll share this with my fellow Commonwealth editors in that area and they will reach out to you with further updates or questions.
Since we did not a location pin, for this address, on the map, this location was most likely being pulled from GMaps, the back up source for Waze. I have add a RPP(Residential Point Place) to the map which should fix the issue. Please allow up to 48 hours for RPP to go live in the app, and then remove this address from your search history and favorites, including home. If you don’t remove the old search results Waze will continue to route you to the old coordinates.
