I was using waze going from NYC to washington dc. The first mistake was when i was on 95 going on to NJ turkpike. Waze is telling me to stay on right but the sign is on the left. This happened a few times and got me lost. When the road spilts, it always tell me the wrong way. I was not paying attention, and followed waze, then lost signal and searching. I had to use google map to help me find my way.
What happened to this apps, used to be great, now it JUNK. It always pick the worst route to drive in.
I am willing to give it another chance, but you guys suck right now.
Where exactly were you? It sounds like maybe Waze thought you were in the truck lanes while you were really in the car lanes. The two roadways are so close that consumer grade GPS may not be able to tell the difference. Especially if Waze told you to take one and instead you took the other, Waze is just going to assume that you did listen and assume that GPS is inaccurate.
This app isn’t meant for longer trips but just commuting. The beauty of this app is that you can fix the errors (or at least report them) yourself. You did report the issues, didn’t you? The reason this app is better for commuting is because it’s learning off of your (and everyone’s) driving habits and averages the routes to figure out the best direction to give someone. It’s not perfect, but ask almost anyone who’s put some time into using it and they will say that the routes they use are better now.
If you don’t like it, no one is forcing you to use it. No app will ever satisfy everyone’s need, but don’t complain. Try to make it better.
