Imagine a little box that you plug into your phone’s data port, and it transmits real-time traffic control data to waze, warning you of a potential or confirmed speed trap, and giving you the option to specify or confirm the exact location of a speed trap!
?? Except for the “radar detector” part, isn’t all this functionality in Waze already? Just because a radar detector goes off doesn’t mean there is a speed trap, so it would still require interaction with the driver.
Plus the data port is often combined with the charger port, which most users already use for charging while Wazing.
True, but technical difficulties aside, I still don’t get it.
They already have ones that you when you mute it for false alarms it notes the GPS location and mutes only that freq/pattern in the vicinity of that gps location.
Was very effective other than laser, which is most of the time, you’re screwed detector. 
You know what I would never buy? A radar detector.
Why? Over here (DE) it is legal to buy them, but illegal to use one.
End of story.

I know they’re banned in certain US states. I haven’t owned a radar detector since the early 90s. I didn’t even know they made them anymore. I thought they went out with the CB radio.
They are illegal in NL as well… The cops even have detectors that detect the radar detectors…
The last one I had could detect radar-detector-detectors and shut itself off temporarily.
But… doesn’t that cause dissonances in the space-time continuum. Did you have to re-calibrate the flux-capacitor afterwards? :?
