Zipcar Parking in Redmond, WA

Good evening,

I’ve been trying to add the location of the Zipcar Parking area in Redmond, WA. I was able to add in the private road that leads to the parking area (many thanks to whoever was at the right level to finish my connections). However, I’ve added the parking area a few times and it never shows up. I’m not quite sure what I’m doing wrong here.

Thank you,
August

Are you talking about this spot https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lon=-122.12650&lat=47.67425&layers=4005&zoom=7&segments=501362597
If so you can tell me the specifics and I can either walk you thru it and approve it or if you just want it added I can do that for you too.

Actually, I’d like to learn the correct way of adding it. The actual parking, is only two parking spaces in an underground parking area. If you look at my GPS track, you can see it goes inside the image of the building. I have not drawn the line that actually goes inside the building as it seemed like too much detail for just needed to drive to the location (is that a wrong assumption?). I’ve put a marker down and called it Zipcar Parking which seems to be what many are doing around the country. Thoughts?

I don’t have access to your GPS trace or data. Waze does respect users privacy. Please review the Parking Lot Wiki https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Places/Parking_lot
Primarily the parking lot needs to be open to public use. This can be a paid lot, but it can’t be an employee only or for residents only or the like. The parking lot, even if it’s only 2 spaces, needs to also be open for the drivers to leave the car and go elsewhere. I do believe the Zipcar lot meets all of these requirements.

I don’t see any pending places in the area I linked to. If you’d like me to take a look please provide a permalink to the area. https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Permalink#Permalink

“zipcar parking” isn’t really “parking” so much as “rental-car return”.

Then make it a Point and not an Area.
