Just got my tubes tied yesterday [October 8, 2021] by Dr. Ira Rock. My first male gynecologist ever.
The second he walked into my exam room I knew he was the Dr I needed. Very easy to talk to. Trusted him instantly. Laid back. Down to earth. He did a great job. Highly recommend.
Now, the hospital!!
The hospital staff was so so friendly and caring.
I showed up at my scheduled 530am, boom. Right in. No delays. Paper work. Things were explained in detail to my boyfriend what he was to expect while I was in surgery. Once in the back, you pee in the cup and the ball gets rolling.
The hospital itself was so clean and smelled good.
Staff is in and out of your room constantly getting you prepped and papers signed and when they say a 730 surgery time, girl - see you in the OR at 730.
I don't have a single complaint about my surgical visit yesterday. I've been a UPMC patient since I got diagnosed with MS a good 10 years ago. I really have very very few complaints. If you do, they get addressed right away.
But this tubal with Dr. Rock, no regrets.
It's been a procedure I've wanted done since high school. I'm going to be 38.
