Average speed check - Nottinghamshire

Hi,

Came home from Center Parcs yesterday and noticed there was a huge section of average speed check that wasn’t showing up on the A614 and A6097 in Nottinghamshire. It had all the cameras in nearly the right place, however it wasn’t showing as average speed check, just the individual cameras.

This is above my confidence level to implement (and probably above my editing level too!!), so can someone look at this for me?

It’s a massive amount of segments, (a good 15 miles or so) so would be a lot to copy and paste into this, but it’s from half way along this segment, travelling South on the A614:

Then when you get to here, the average speed check continues onto the A6097:
https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon=-1.07142&lat=53.08492&s=1665138683&zoom=3&segments=152845441

It finally ends in this segment, just South of the River Trent, when the road enters the national speed limit:
https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon=-0.98825&lat=52.98497&s=1665138683&zoom=3&segments=303508789

It should be noted that the majority of the average speed check is at 50mph, but there is a short section at 40mph. All the current speed limits and speed cameras are set correctly already.

These roads all appears to be set correctly as average speed check zones, so I think the problem may be in how the app provides this information whilst driving.

If you’re following a suggested route, you’ll get the countdown banner to let you know the ASC zone is approaching, and once in the zone you’ll then get the distance remaining within the zone “fuel gauge” indicator down the left side of the screen.

If however you’re just driving with the app open to use as a general map and to check for alerts etc, it won’t give you the countdown banner to the zone (though if you’re quick you may notice it giving a simple alert to say there’s an ASC zone ahead, just as it does for the fixed cameras), nor will it show the fuel gauge indicator once you’re in the zone.

Just to note that the fuel gauge indicator is not present on Android Auto (and I guess Apple Car Play as well)…you get a warning at the start of the ASZ, but nothing else while you are actually in the zone.

Thanks for the responses!

So I was navigating a planned 2 hour journey home from Center Parcs, joining the ASZ at this segment (https://www.waze.com/editor?env=row&lon=-1.04092&lat=53.17873&s=1665138683&zoom=5&segments=241586056) and travelling South from here.

The iPhone app notified me of a very short section of ASZ, but then this ended and for the remainder of the 15 miles or so, it just notified me of each individual speed camera location, which was slightly in the wrong place each time, within 200-300 yards or so!

This isn’t a route I travel regularly (perhaps once or twice a year), and is not in my home county, so I’m not sure I’ll have much more input on this, just wanted to raise it in case anything needed changing, as there was a big chunk of ASZ that wasn’t showing as such on my iPhone app navigated route.
