Good morning,
I’d like to know if any of you iPhone (iOS) users have the GPS working correctly inside the M30 tunnels.
I connect my phone via Bluetooth for CarPlay, and even so, when I enter the M30 the GPS goes haywire and thinks I’m not inside the tunnels.
Is there something I’m doing wrong? Or is it that it still doesn’t work on iOS as it should?

I’m having the same issue on my Pixel. Google Maps works without any problems, but Waze gets lost. It has all the permissions granted and is up to date, I don’t know what to do.

Welcome to the Waze forum.
In principle, it should work as long as Bluetooth is turned on and you give the app permission to use it (on some phones this appears as “Nearby devices”).

I can confirm that’s not the case, 2 different Pixel devices with permissions enabled and I haven’t been able to get it to work
Same here. I’ve tried both with a cable connected to the car and via Bluetooth; on iPhone, where supposedly you just need to have Bluetooth on, as soon as I get a bit into the tunnels, the signal goes crazy. It thinks I’m on the surface instead of in the tunnels.
Let’s run some tests, step by step.
1.- Remove the app’s permissions to use Bluetooth, but keep the phone’s Bluetooth turned on.
On Android, this sometimes appears as “nearby devices”; I’m not sure how it’s done on iPhone, but it won’t be very different.
2.- Launch Waze—for now on the phone, not in the car.
3.- Set the destination to “Parking APK2 Plaza de Oriente, Madrid”.
4.- Select the destination and tap “Go now”.
5.- A warning message like this should appear:
6.- In the alert, tap “Continue,” do NOT check the “Don’t show again” option.
7.- Close Waze and check that Waze has been granted permission to use Bluetooth (nearby devices).
8.- Open Waze again and start the route to “Parking APK2 Plaza de Oriente, Madrid”.
9.- Now, Waze should not show any kind of alert.
10.- Waze is now ready to work with the M-30 beacons.
I would try driving through the M-30 tunnels using just the phone at first, not the car’s device.
Hi @parallrob, thanks for the instructions. I can confirm I did what you told me and Waze is now working on my phone inside the M-30. Unfortunately, when it’s displayed on my Renault Kadjar via Android Auto, it still gets lost as soon as I enter. I can confirm that my Android, Android Auto, and Waze are all up to date and have all permissions granted.

I’m glad it’s at least working for you on your phone.
As for AA, I’m not sure what else to tell you.
Try looking for an option (I don’t know if it’s possible) to make the phone follow its own GPS signals, not the ones the car might provide (if that’s an option—maybe by turning off the car’s GPS?).
If not, the only other thing I can think of is for you to report the issue directly to Waze; you can do this from the app.
In the menu, under Help & feedback, there’s an option to Report a problem.
I’ve driven through the M-30 tunnels and others that have beacons and it works fine for me, both on my phone and in AA.
