Becoming an Area Manager [Chicago, IL]

Hi All,

I started using Waze just a few weeks ago and am loving it. I have started to read the wiki on area managers and what it involves. I know about the form to fill out and specifying the permalink(s) you want as your area. I was wondering what prerequisites are necessary to become an area manger? Specifically does Waze require a specific number of map edits? Months as a member? Miles driven?

Thanks,
jlbcbs

The requirements vary depending on where you wish to become an area manager. Reading the Wiki is indeed an important first step.

Which country are you in?

Sorry, should have put that in the heading.

Chicago, IL. USA

You just use the map to get the permalink.

Then fill out the page and wait about a week then you become an area manager.

There’s no real requirements from what I can see as you could have 1 area with 100’s of area managers on it.

It’s only the country managers that would have requirements like amount of edits or points.

There are quite a few of us in the Chicago area editing, but the more eyes checking on stuff, the better. It’s even better if you drive in the city to verify alot of the turn restrictions.

If you have any questions in editing in the Chicago area, feel free to PM me and ask.

Thank all for your posts. I did become an Area Manager on Sunday. North and Northwest part of Chicago (city limits).

Now for the reading of the Wiki. Do not want to mess things up.

Thanks bigbear3764, I may just do that.

Thanks,
