Boring, Oregon: New Development in Big Valley Woods Park

I just moved into a newer development off of Tickle Creek Rd in Boring, OR, and currently Waze doesn’t have any of the streets “paved” around my house. I’d love to be able to edit the area around my house to include street names, speed limits, turn restrictions, etc… but for some reason, my changes aren’t able to be saved in the map editor.

I’ve used the “Map Issues - Pave” option from within the app when making the drive between my house and the existing sections of road already in Waze, but even though I should be able to make edits within 1 mile of those drives (those parts of the map aren’t grayed out within the editor) I’m still unable to save my changes. Would this require an unlock from an admin in the region? If so, I’d be grateful for any help so I can add the appropriate information.

You should be able to pave the roads then go back and edit them to fill in all the details. Sometimes paving doesn’t show up very quickly (or at all in some cases), so maybe your paves just haven’t appeared yet. You could always go into the editor and add the roads manually if you don’t want to wait for the paves. The wiki (here, in case you haven’t seen it) should give you the details. Either way, you can then join Discord and get hooked up with your local editing community in OR.
