Cannot move Virtual node

Steps to reproduce this issue:
I just try to move that node (see permalink) and I get the error:

Cannot update segment 82744814 since its updated node 360968924 doesn’t lie on the segment

The issue was originally raised in this thread, therefore, I will move your post there to keep all relevant details in one place. Please give it an upvote and follow to receive further updates.

Additional information: if you select the whole segment and try to move it, it should not give an error—as I checked, it is only reproducible when you drag any walking trail segment by the virtual node.
