Can a level 4 editor try and change the city name “Frodsham (Cheshire)” to just “Frodsham” for me please? It’s within my AM area but for some reason I can’t change it myself :x. I’ve tried in both WME and Cartouche with no success. I’ve selected a few of the offending segments in the permalink below.
I have a similar problem with Llay near Wrexham.

Have changed some of them but got sync error. Will do it tomorrow again. If you need to change other city name, you can send message through the quick help.
Have you checked these are the only instances of those names? Just double checking as we don’t want any smudges

shouldn’d have smudge anymore. if you place a road its city name its same as other city, you will get error message ‘the road is too far from the city…’
Thanks for trying Leo. I see your name as last editor on a lot of the roads but the city name has still got the County suffix. I’ll email support about it as I have the same problem in other areas.
Yeah, it’s the first thing I do when adding or changing cities. During my time editing, I’ve probably added as many County names as I’ve removed because of this. 
Course, I wouldn’t have too if the original database had been designed correctly.
I’ve tried to change the city name again this afternoon but they were autometically changed back. Absolutely no idea. Yes, please let support know this issue.
As I said there is probably another which is why it’s not allowing it.
Note: previous “city” names are not subject to the duplicate naming, ie if there is already a smudge it won’t fix itself, only when a road with same properties has changed will it pick up on it…if that makes sense. Retrospective rather than proactive.
