Cardiff Lane Guidance

Was driving through Cardiff centre today and there were a few sections where some updated lane guidance would have been helpful to ensure that I was in the correct lane at some junctions and intersections.

The first was on the A4160 - Adam St (linked below)

Lane 01 - Left only to A4160 - Fitzalan Pl
Lane 02 - Left to A4160 - Fitzalan Pl and straight to Moira Ter
Lane 03 - Right only to Windsor Rd

Waze told me to keep in lane 01, whilst correct, didn’t accurate reflect the road layout and being in lane 02 would have been the better lane for my overall journey as I had to turn right later on.

The second was on A4161 - Newport Rd (linked below)

Lane 01 - Left only to B4261 - City Rd
Lane 02 - Straight only to A4161 - Newport Rd
Lane 03 - Right only to Glossop Rd

Waze didn’t give me any lane guidance, being in lane 02 would have been better for my journey.

Could someone update the lane guidance for these?

Neither of these junctions were mapped to show LG when continuing straight, so I have adjusted this to provide view only LG.

Your description of Adam Street doesn’t match the road markings, if Waze suggested you use lane 1 you were expected to turn left, if you feel lane 2 would’ve been better then this is a routing issue not an LG one.
