Tonight I discovered I joined Waze exactly one year ago.

For the next year (and many more) I hope to see a lot of new Wazers in The Netherlands, partly because of my edits (and of course the radio interview I did;-)). As you can see, I am more of an editor than a driver. I expect my ranking to drop in the next year because of that. Too bad I never made it to the top 10 (11th was my best).
When the proposal for a seperate editors league was posted on uservoice I immediately voted for it. As I drive ‘only’ about 500 kms a week, I think I am doing great against all salesmen, truckdrivers and other ‘road people’.
I hit my first anniversary this past week too! (6/17)

I’m ranked 4th in my state (Colorado) though I think #2 is an OTR trucker who happened to be in Colorado this week – I’ve been ranked #3 for weeks.
My commute is only about 10 miles, so most of my Waze work is as an area manager - from central Denver all the way North to Greeley - just trying to stay on top of the update requests!
I forgot my 2nd anniversary…
WTF… I’m a male… I am supposed to forget anniversaries…
OK, my stats today:

The new editor has caused me to be able to enter the top 10 (world server), even raised till 7 for a while. As you can see, I handled about twice as much UR’s this year. Thankfully this is caused by a much larger userbase in NL. During rush hour, hundreds of Wazers are visible in our little country.
Also, the number of forum posts has doubled as well… This is not a good thing… Keeping up with the forum is taking away lots of precious editing time…

Going from the top:
points have almost doubled, reached the million mark a few weeks ago.
Edits have risen, even though it is hard to find quality editing time due to more activity in the forums, a new baby in January and other hobbies.
alerts: stable
paved kms: almost nothing to pave anymore around here.
kms: stable
URs: more due to more users, less due to a more mature map, so these even out. This year I finished checking and naming all roads in my province, 3240 square kms, and all connectivity. What is left is a lot of KISS work.
forum posts: way to many, takes too much time that could be spent editing…
house numbers: not sure if the new ones are counted in the dashboard. I don’t spend time on them because Waze is looking if they can import official government data where coordinates for every single address is available.
cookie meters: in NL, almost all cookies were eaten a long time ago.
rank: huge drop. Fortunately it is stable during the last months…
