Chester Zoo - navigational oddness

I’ve picked up two URs in the last few days for failed navigation to Chester Zoo.

The Zoo has its entry point correctly set in Waze at the entrance to the main car park - but two URs have reported being directed up Flag Ln North, which is a residential dead-end some distance from the main zoo entrance (although it does extend right up to the zoo boundary).

One of the URs has stated that they used “Chester Zoo” as their destination, still waiting from confirmation from the other one. I’ve just tried it in the app, and it routes me correctly to the car park entrance.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what might be causing this to happen?

Unfortunately, this seems to be one of those oddities where Waze will choose to ignore the External Provider link, and choose the segment closest to the Google Maps venue.

I’ve added a few more Provider links to the Chester Zoo place, including the postcode. Even though the Geo-Point of that postcode is nowhere near Flag Lane North.

It could also be they have an out-of-date saved search stored on their app (doubtful, but a possibility). A deletion of the search entry and a new search should fix it for them.
