Comming up! The Diverging Diamond. 441 appleton

Looks interesting, I’d love to watch the work on the map here when it’s all done!

Oooh, that will be interesting! The article says the interchange has been used in other states, so I’m sure there’s some sort of Waze “Standard Operating Procedure” for building/implementing this type of intersection. Or at the very least, we probably won’t be just guessing.

Did the one at Brown Deer Rd ever get built? http://goo.gl/WyJ8yK

My guess is that if it was just being proposed in May of 2014, we’re still a year or two away from construction even starting there. The DOT’s got enough on its hands around Milwaukee already without adding another project on the North side.

Several are planned or being constructed in Illinois. The one in progress that I am aware of is the I-88 / IL-59 interchange in Naperville.

I thought we had one in CT, but I can’t find it (or any info on it), but I found this list from NYS DOT at https://www.dot.ny.gov/regional-offices/region4/projects/590winton/diverging-diam

And also this website dedicated to them with a bunch of locations: http://www.divergingdiamondinterchange.org/. Hope this give you guys a starting point to poke around WME and see how they are handled in the app.

We have one of these in Minnesota. I built it based on the aerial imagery, but I have not navigated through it yet to see how it works.

There is another one near MSP airport. It even has light rail running through the middle of it.

I drove this one a while back and the directions seemed to work fairly well.

FYI, I believe the first completed DDI in Wisconsin just got mapped in Waze.
