Community

Waze Community is a vital part of what makes the Waze app so effective and up-to-date. It’s a global network of volunteers (~190 million monthly active users) who actively contribute to the platform in various ways. Community of map editors, beta testers, translators, partners, and users help make each drive better.

The Nepal Waze community is responsible for curating and maintaining the Waze map within the country, striving for optimal functionality. This group collaborates with mentors and fellow members to establish guidelines specifically tailored to the needs of Nepal. As a developing community with projected gradual growth, the Waze map in Nepal currently has areas requiring improved maintenance. Your contributions, whether through passively sharing your routes by driving with Waze or actively editing the map, are highly valuable.

The dedicated efforts of drivers, reporters, and map editors are crucial to the ongoing improvement of the Waze map in Nepal.

Drivers

Every Waze user forms part of the Waze community. The bedrock of this community is the individual driver using the app for navigation. Even though their contribution is largely passive, the collective presence of these drivers is what makes Waze functional. This seemingly small, individual action is crucial for the overall success of the Waze community.

Reporters

Waze relies on user reports for information regarding police activity, road hazards, fuel prices, and more. If you have submitted a report through the app, you’ve contributed to this system. Each report is reviewed by a dedicated community volunteer or a member of our staff support team, who then determine the appropriate course of action.

Map Editors

The Waze Editors Community plays a crucial role by intensely contributing to the map through edits and added information. Members of our Waze Editors Community are dedicated contributors who significantly improve the map by editing and adding details.
