It would be nice to be able to create better routes waze doesnt even suggest to get to a destination. Frequently i find it suggest routes that take forever, and thats because it bases it on speed limit. Having a function where you can press create route, start from point A, drive to point B, and then complete it would be awesome. (Using this app for predictive mileage and travel).
Factually incorrect. Waze decides routes based on the historical speed of users driving on the road at that time of day & day of week.
This is how Waze works. Search for your final destination, begin a route. If you don’t like the route, choose one of the alternatives in the ROUTES screen, or add a stop along your preferred route by searching it out or tapping the location on the map.
You can also select a spot to start anywhere that you aren’t to see what route(s) are suggested or how long it should take for up to a week ahead.
Search for a spot (your A). When it pops up don’t hit view routes. Instead tap the More with three dots in the upper right corner of the middle of the screen. Select “Set as start point”.
Then Select the Search button and look for the final destination (ie your B). That gives a route from A to B as you requested.
If you don’t like the routes then just drive the way you want to and if it is faster the data will contribute to Waze suggesting that as the route.
Note make sure you have appropriate settings for toll roads, freeways, unpaved roads, and ferries in your settings. Also that the appropriate Toll or HOV passes for the vehicle are entered in the Waze settings.
