Duplicate External Provider IDs Added by bot

Is this a…:
Performance issue
Steps to reproduce this issue:
I’ve noticed for some time that the user matching feed 1, which is likely an automated bot, has been helping to link Google Maps places in the “external provider” field.

The issue is that in some cases, it adds multiple identical places with the same ID. While this doesn’t cause major problems, I believe it’s something that could be improved — for example, by making the system automatically detect and remove duplicate or deleted external provider IDs.
