The bridge on Walnut Hill Road just North of Taylor Road is closed until Sept 18th, 2013 at least.
I have edited the map to remove that section of Walnut Hill Rd and will restore it when the construction is complete.
I’ll also keep any eye on it as I hear that this sort of edit gets reversed a lot.

Can you post a permalink of the road. When I have done it, I have taken the road segment that I disconnected and spin it 180 degrees and change road type to RR and add CLOSED to road name. Waze system generated route errors can be from old data, which will show that the roads aren’t connected. Someone else comes along and sees the error and reconnects it.
CTGreybeard: I saw that you added the closure to the wiki. I tweaked the closure a bit and locked it so that a new editor who isn’t familiar with the wiki doesn’t come along and reconnect it. The link to the town that you posted in the wiki says “The bridge will remain closed to all traffic until reconstruction is complete, which is expected to be by December 1, 2013”. Where did you get the Sept 18th date from?
bigbear: In CT we track closures in the wiki here: https://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php/Connecticut_Construction CTGreybeard posted a permalink there. We do not change the road type, only add a “CONST ZN” suffix to the street after it’s been disconnected and we CM lock the road as well.
I got the date from the sign that is posted at the closure.
I’ll take a look at the changes you made so I can learn for next time. Thanks.

Ok, that works… I just wish everyone (CT DOT, the town, etc) would get on the same page for things like this…
Not that it affects Waze directly but it looks like this is going to be closed for the Winter. That’s not making people very happy!
