Perhaps the Waze client team would consider adding the ability in settings to not just show/hide all Wazers but add a third option to show friend wazers only, too. Be great to have this so when caravanning you’re still able to see your friends without seeing all wazers which can sometimes clutter the map. Thanks. Great app!

Great Idea! And if I want to be anonymous, I should also have an option to show My name to My friends.
I think also it should be possible to be invisible, but then it should not be possible to ser any other wazer.
My opinion, I don’t like the idea of being invisible. It think it’s of value for every Wazer in the vicinity (up to whatever limitation Waze has set) to show on the map. This gives us driving an idea of how up to date the traffic is in the vicinity and you can also visually judge some bad traffic jams when you see several Wazers stuck in the jam.
In addition, when newbies download and install Waze, if they don’t see Wazers on the map near them they may think that no one is using Waze in their area. This may cause them to immediately abort and uninstall Waze since the commuting benefit is enhanced where more people are running Waze.
