Feature request: turn off wazer icons

I realize a compelling component of Waze is the social aspect, but I find the wazer icons can clutter the map. Would be great to have an option to turn them off.

My apologies if one exists and I missed it.

Try Settings, Display Settings, Show on Map, deselect Wazers.

Congratulations on driving in an area with loads of Wazers. It makes the app even better.

I still kind of like seeing other wazers’ icons as I’m driving around. Of course, I drive in a lot of remote areas so I don’t see them too often… Still, good to know you can turn them off… thx dknight212!

I would like to see exactly opposite thing. I know that there are tons of Wazers that I just do not see. I would like to see (and show to other not-yet-waze-users) all of them around me.

There is probably some processing overhead for the servers in displaying more than a smallish percentage of Wazers.

The servers are processing all of it, but only something like 40 nearby Wazers are sent to the app. It’s an app performance feature.
