'Find more mentees' broken

Hi,

It appears that the ‘find more mentees’ system is broken, as it just loads an empty dialog. Another user has confirmed it doesn’t work for them either.

I’d be grateful if someone could look into it.

Edit: Doesn’t appear to be affecting every country, I’m in the UK.

Hi. It’s working as usual, at least for me.

Working fine for me, instead remove from my mentees isn’t working for me.

Perhaps it’s just the UK then. It’s not working for myself or our mentoring coordinator here :?

I don’t think it’s a good sign per se, but I’m new at this and errr… what system are you talking about exactly? :?

When you visit your own editor profile page, and click the ‘Find new mentees’ button, the popup that opens should have a list of new editors for you to add.

At the moment (for the UK at least) it’s empty.

Sorry, but I can find no such button on my profile page. Could that point to some switch that hasn’t been flipped yet?

Same here - no mentor options on my profile page. I’m waiting a week from my welcome email and hoping as sometimes these things take a few days :wink:

Nope, that’s not it. It was pointed out to me in the German community’s Discord server, that there are two paralel kinds of mentors. <https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=369838&gt;

As for why @Anat-Staff didn’t point this out, but instead gives the same reply twice to a matter already cleared the first time, I couldn’t say. Instead, I’ll just thank @tooltime_tim for his help. :slight_smile:

Hi age4670 and DownPeriscope.

To have the “Start mentoring” button your profile page, please reach out to your local leader.
They can request the feature to be enabled on your account.

Please note that we currently have 2 mentoring programs running at the same time:

  • Automated, through your profile page, you can reach out to new editors and offer your assistance
  • Manual, through a Mentoring coordinator, new editors can ask for help and be assigned to a mentor

I don’t suppose there’s any news on this is there? We’re at 3 weeks now that we’ve not been able to use the ‘find new mentees’ feature in the UK.

Given that we can only see the last 30 days on this screen anyway, this means we’ve nearly lost a month of new editors.

With the recent recruitment campaign to get new mentors and to encourage more mentoring, it’s disheartening that such an important feature is broken.

Hi friends,

Happy to share the team was able to detect the issue -
They fixed it and the release should be out to all environments by the end of June.
I’ll keep you posted.

Yep, doesn’t work at all. You can click it but it does nothing (menu doesn’t close or anything).

It doesn’t work @Anat-Staff . We do have the option but nothing happens when we click on the “Remove from my mentees” option.
