It appears that the ‘find more mentees’ system is broken, as it just loads an empty dialog. Another user has confirmed it doesn’t work for them either.
I’d be grateful if someone could look into it.
Thanks!
Edit: Doesn’t appear to be affecting every country, I’m in the UK.
When you visit your own editor profile page, and click the ‘Find new mentees’ button, the popup that opens should have a list of new editors for you to add.
As for why @Anat-Staff didn’t point this out, but instead gives the same reply twice to a matter already cleared the first time, I couldn’t say. Instead, I’ll just thank @tooltime_tim for his help.
To have the “Start mentoring” button your profile page, please reach out to your local leader.
They can request the feature to be enabled on your account.
Please note that we currently have 2 mentoring programs running at the same time:
Automated, through your profile page, you can reach out to new editors and offer your assistance
Manual, through a Mentoring coordinator, new editors can ask for help and be assigned to a mentor
Happy to share the team was able to detect the issue -
They fixed it and the release should be out to all environments by the end of June.
I’ll keep you posted.
