Garden State Parkway to NYThruway/Palisades vs. Exit 165/168

I work near Exit 4 or 5 off of the Palisades Parkway and often have to get to work using the Garden State Parkway. It seems that whenever I follow Waze’s instructions and get off at Exit 165 or 168 (instead of continuing on the GSP to the NYS Thruway and then the Palisades), I get stuck in backups at several intersections as well as being directed onto slow local roads and to make unnecessary extra turns. Waze needs to correct its algorithm as these local routes always get me to work 15 to 30 minutes later than if I were to stay on the GSP.

The only ways to get this any attention is to collect data.

  1. Please drop URs so we can analyze the routes - if you provide source and destination alongside that, it will help.

  2. Upload logs, ask for Waze to analyze the routes. If you post the date/time of the trip, we can sometimes get Waze to pay a little extra attention. But we would only do this after trying to analyze the trips ourselves (see above)
