A UR reported that multiple times they have been travelling north on the GSP and WAZE had them exit, drive south on another road to a different ramp and re-enter the the GSP several miles south of where they entered before continuing north to their destination.
This makes no sense to me and I cannot figure out why it would do this, any ideas?
Do you have the PL of the area where this is happening?
UR: I was going north Waze told me to exit, take a different road south and then get back on the Gsp north. No reason and if I didn’t know better would have taken me extra half hour. Thanks

Not all exits and entrances on the GSP are tolled. It could’ve devised a sneaky way to avoid some of those tolls, especially if you have avoid toll roads turned on.
Not sure if it make sense in this case since it actually routed the reporter right back to where they got off the first time, but I will ask about the avoiding toll roads, thanks!
Report from second user on the same issue going the other direction this time. I asked, they were not avoiding toll roads:
My trip was to end at exit 90 on GSP south. There wasn’t any traffic or road issues ahead based on the “on route” in the reports sections, yet waze attempted to re-route us to parkway north several times.
I checked the list of directions for the re-route which said to get off at holmdel (the upcoming exit 114 ) take parkway north back up to exit 125 and get back on parkway south to exit 90.

Received a reply from the first error report, they did not have “avoid toll roads” checked either. This is certainly something weird going on for WAZE to recommend a route that basically sends the user in a large loop and puts them right back on the road they were on and the location they were on before exiting.
Had to be some sort of weird error in the Local GSP lanes south of Exit 114 before the merge in Tinton Falls. The turn arrows in WME all appear to be correct, and the WME route check seems to work for the Local lanes for the section in question.
Do we know if this was just a one time thing or whether it happens regularly and can be reproduced?
Can’t seem to reproduce it, I’ll ask some more questions, but got reports from two different wazers going in two different directions. Let me see if either can reproduce it.
Try to find out the exact starting and ending locations, and the exact time they started their trips, please.
