Gas Stations and prices

Adding gasstations is only possible in the Waze editor on a pc.

I’m busy with importing most gasstations directly in the database…as soon I now more I’ll share it here :wink:

Once the function is activated, the landmarks will show up in the Waze tab of the search results (category search).

AS24 Missing in the brands
IDS Missing in the brands

“Q8 Easy” is not a brand but Gasstation type

I’ll check those brands…

Q8 Easy was not on my list…There are a few that are not provided by me…

Actually every brand with express behind the name is wrong, it’s just a brand’s station w/o any service(no personel present), only being able to pay with EC (ATM).

Your correct about that…and in some counties where allready took some imports place, those are mixed…Shell express that’s a normal gasstation. Or a normal Shell gasstation, that’s actualy a Express…

Hi,

When i asked waze on twitter when the gas stations would be active in Belgium i got this reply:

So my question now is how far ar we with implementing the gas stations in to the map. Are there some ppl that are taking care of adding all the big brand stations?

I would love to help in adding some of them but need some more info in “how to add a gas station.” :stuck_out_tongue:

Elix

We provided Waze with more then enough gasstation that they are import directly in their database. As soon that’s done, the feature will be enabled. I don’t know how much more time it will take…

You can add the gasstations in the editor.

Click on the big plus and then on gasstation.
Then draw a rectangle on the exact location.

Simple as that;)

Ok so we can expect the gas station update in the near future. :smiley:

It depends…
What should you define as ‘near’? :wink:

This month

Yeah, but that’s when 80-90% of the gas stations have been added to the map… not when 80% of the brands are present in the list. I don’t know how you can tell at which % we are right now and which ones are missing.

We’re still waiting for the import of our privided lists…There’s not much info about it :frowning:

Without the import process, there are 969 gasstations in de Belgium database right now…

I’ve had quickly a look at some major brand’s website to find out how many gas stations there was in belgium. My partial results :
shell=240
total=500
octaplus + avia + power + dcb + texaco=850
Lukoil=160

So only these brands have around 1800 stations (total claims to be the first one, so all others should be below 500). I don’t have the list of stations in from of my eyes (so I don’t know if I have forgotten about major stations) but we look quite far from 80%, I believe.

Another subject : I’ve discovered lukoil makes its list of stations available in Google Earth format (kml) : can it be imported into waze ?

All brands you mentioned are allready in our import files…I don’t know where we are waiting for…We have permissions to use these for the Waze database…We don’t get much response for a status update…We did expect it allready enabled more then a month ago…

Th only brand that is already imported is Shell.

I think i have added around 15 stations today.
That are those where i have access for it could be that i have forgotten some but my list is getting smaler.

Maybe the list that is provided didn’t have enough data…

The provided list are all stations as provided by those brands, including the latest changes…So that isn’t the problem…There was an import process in the UK before…They had a few problems with existing stations or so. maybe that’s the problem…I discovered a few times 2 stations on top of each other…Let’s hope we now more coming week.

We did get a reply…Development team is very busy…we checking if we can enable the feature without the import allready…more news follows…

Hi,

I’ve got 2 brands which are quite popular (mostly) in the eastern part of the province of Antwerp.
Pollet nv about 40-50 gas stations
Van Raak nv 10 gas stations
As I’ve read in earlier posts the smaller brands might not be worth adding into Waze.
But I think the first one qualifies as not being such a small brand.
