In Italian we use to have a special pronunciation for ⇗, which means something like side road. We are making a big change in all side roads in Turin, giving them the main road name, due to several numbering problems both with RPPs and numbers coming from Maps and repositioned on the main road.
Now I’m working on Corso Unione Sovietica: I renamed all the “⇗ Corso Unione Sovietica” segments to the simple “Corso Unione Sovietica” and changed any Place with that (wrong) address, but if I move to the northern side of Corso Unione Sovietica, Turin and attempt to change the name of a segment, ⇗ Corso Unione Sovietica still appears in the names suggestions.
Do you know why?
I think you still have a place or a RPP with the temporary road name.
I thought the same, I tested with eyes and with WME plugins as I always do, but nothing appears. There must be something different.

Thanks for the interesting question. If I understand it correctly, by “suggestion” you mean that it still appears in the drop-down menu, right? If so, I’ll have to double-check on that.

Yes, I mean those road names appearing in WME sidebar’s address autocomplete dropdown when you select a segment and attempt to change its name.
If I select this segment, I see these suggestions
If I move southward, the “arrow name” disappears
I remember that I have had a few situation where I was not able to find the street name in any street or place. It would be helpful if it can be found. That can possibly help me aswell.
One more example; correct me if I’m wrong, I couldn’t find a corresponding segment or place.

have you checked also the streetnames in mapped places?
Found three examples of such road names in places, but not the one you have named here as an example:
⇗ Corso Massimo D’Azeglio
⇗ Corso Galileo Ferraris
⇗ Corso 4 Novembre
Never mind, I now read you haved searched for something at this streets…

@pox_online Thanks for Ferraris and 4 Novembre, since they were theoretically finished, but still to-be-checked. As of D’Azeglio, it’s still undergoing changes
