I am happy to announce the shiny & new process to request graphic assets for your social media channels.
We will be providing, upon request & approval on a case-by-case basis, graphic assets that respond to the following characteristics:
Major national/global holidays (example: Independence Day)
Launch of major localized Waze Features (example: License Plate)
Events with nationwide/global relevance (example: SuperBowl, World Cup)
Encouragement of community activities (example: MapRaid)
Want to ask for a graphic asset? Please fill out this handy dandy form.
You will be getting an email with an answer if the asset was approved or not, and the following steps.
Replying to this question about wait time, a mere 6 months late (Sorry about that)
We’ve set new processes for handling Graphic Assets Requests a few weeks ago.
With these new processes, the initial response shouldn’t take more than 7 business days.
In order to ease the process of communication with the local community, I would propose that worldwide feature launch would be coordinated with the release of some graphic assets, with editable language.
Features like Lanes, RRC will always deserve post in social media from the local communities… it would be great to have the graphics available when the features are launched
That’s a great idea.
On the company’s side, it might not always make sense, since having to incorporate the design team into the release timeline may cause delays, and we don’t want that to happen.
I will pass this idea along.
In the meantime, the generic New Feature image can always be adapted.
