I have a basic question, to use waze I just have to OPEN the app on the phone and it will record on its own or do I have to press something for it to start recording? Can I lock the pone and will it still work? can I multitask with another app? I’ve been trying to record for 2 days on turning on the app and leaving it as I drive, somehow it doesn’t record anything :S
Clarify what you mean by “record.” I run Waze all the time and let it background at times so I can txt at stop lights, or use the phone.
I mean, does it save the route just by opening the app? Every time I move into another app the gps symbol on the upper right hand corner disappears and I never get new milage. It’s supposed to save miles as I go just by OPENING the app?
Your travelled routes will appear on http://www.waze.com/dashboard if you’re in North America or http://world.waze.com/dashboard for anywhere else.
Do note though that under “normal” conditions it will take a day or two for your routes to appear. At the moment it’s more like 4 or 5 days!
To add to Darren’s reply, you will never see routes or “saved” miles on the app itself. I run Waze in the background often and my routes and points are usually updated on the website within 3-5 days. Sometimes a bit longer.
Ohhh ok guys! So I just run the app and the milage will be adding up itself with in 3-4 days? Nice to know that
