Hi,
I need some help from someone that can edit junctions. My house is in new development, and the road is there, but the intersection doesn’t show turning. Therefore when Waze directs you to come to my address, it just takes you to a back road behind our road, and people get lost. Can someone with a high enough level please add a junction to the road.
The road is Stonehouse Way, Hockessin Deleware. This road connects to Old Lancaster Pike. But the junction point B doesn’t have any turning instructions. You are allowed to turn left and right when you come out of Stonehouse Way into Old Lancaster Pike.
Thank you to anyone that can help.
Jumping in here from WAAAAY out of state!
I have connected the streets. The problem was that Old Lancaster Pike is classified as a Primary Street and thus is locked to level 2. Once the map updates in a day or two, this fix will be active in the app.
But this is the best place to make a first connection with state editors who know about more complex local editing issues. If you are interested in learning more about editing, any of us would be happy to help. Welcome to Waze!
Greets ny3ranger. I’m the Waze volunteer state manager for Delaware. Thanks for the post. Looks like another editor created that road but didn’t have a high enough rank to connect it to the primary street. We don’t do that just to be difficult, but to mainly protect important roads from accidental damage from well intentioned new editors (and let’s face it, there’s sometimes the rare malicious user).
In those cases, you can ask to have a lock temporarily removed so you can make edits if you’re interested in editing – or just ask someone to do it for you.
However – we’d love to have your help in the area working on the map. Waze is awesome due to all of us volunteers who are local working to make it great (I live in Newark myself).
If you’d like to learn more about editing, let me know and I and many others will be more than happy to show you the ropes. We also have a server and channel on Discord (a chat service) where you can send messages and get responses usually right away.
And there are a few Rangers Fans around…
