I am learning here so bear with me. I have tried to search to see if I can find what to do but I don’t think I am searching for the right terms.
My parents house is numbered on a main road but accessed via a different road by car. I tried to add the house number to the property but it is outside of the area that that lets me put a house number on.
The house in question is numbered on Ramley Road along a dirt track, which isn’t really maintained for vehicle access anymore so it is accessed by vehicle through Northover Road/Brownings Close. What would be the best way to handle this on the map?
I have included a screen capture to try and help explain. The Green dot is the house in question, the red dot is where Waze currently takes you to, the blue dot is the entrance to the drive of the house.
Use an RPP (Residential Place Point) instead. Click Place at the top then Residential Place. Give it a street name and house number then drag the entry point to the correct position.
Thank you, I tried that before but it didn’t work. I have just done that again now and it seems to have worked this time.
When should it appear in the app, will it be with the next map build?
Looks like it has done the job, although I had to delete my saved location to get it to work, even though the address was the same it must have been using something else to route the drive other than the RPP.
The app stores the location of previous searches/drives so it doesn’t need to query the servers each time. If the location/navigation point of a place is changed you need to delete it from previous drives, home, work to force the app to get the new location next time you search for it.
