I have several maps that I have edited and are waiting approval. But I believe I’m techie enough for this level. What is required for this?

Thanks for reaching out to us! Here in the Waze Map Editing Community we have various editing levels that have some requirements before progressing to the next. For rank 2 to be achieved, one must acquire 3000 edits. There are however been cases in which an editor can promoted early if he/she is continuously providing good, quality edits and an understanding of those edits as well. There are also opportunities to be mentored by a higher ranking editor to help build knowledge and help improve the map even better.
We also have a google hangout where editors in the state communicate any questions, concerns and announcements there may be. It is a good place to learn and grow as an editor.
