The Parking Lot Road (PLR) has to be connected to E Main St. Without that connection, there will be no turns for the PLR.
In order to edit E Main St, you’d have to have a Level 3 ranking. As you have stated you are new, you most likely have a Level (L1) ranking. Someone L3 or above will need to unlock that for you. There is forum where you can get those unlocks or you can be added to a Google Hang Out (GHO) where editors of all different levels frequent. If you have a Gmail address, and can supply that to me, I will be happy to add you to the Central Ohio GHO.
Unfortunately I am unable to help with the editing in this area because it’s out of my editable area and I only have an L2 ranking.

Tom, I’d be glad to help but I don’t have editing rights in central OH. (My area covers all across northern OH roughly north of US-224 and I-76, and all of western OH to just east of Springfield.) For fast response, you may want to send a PM to one of the state managers for OH - I believe TerryPerdue may be the most active in the central part of the state but any of them could help.
