Hi there,
Romanian Waze users are facing false notifications about road events or Police instances from specific or anonymous users. One example is “parmaf” Waze user.
I would appreciate Waze support feedback on how such non ethical behavior can be extinguished from the application users and/or server side.
I suspect not only frustrated or childish specimen but also Police representatives trying to sabotage the Waze community.

By reporting not there. The reportes carma willen lower. Meaning his reports of this user will remove faster form map

Almost the same problem here .Also in RO I have passed a police radar car 3 times in a 30-40 min period and each time I marked their position. Each time after 5 min or less the report was gone from the map.

First of all we are almost ready to deploy a new mechanism that will eliminate the abuse of “flooding” the maps with alerts.
If you encounter any Wazers who abuse this feature, please share it with the local Champs, or contact support page with information about the abusers.

But as you can see in my case the "bad wazers " are taking the reports from the map which is way too easy in the current system.
Could you share some info about this new system you are talking about?

I cannot share this info in order to prevent the abusers to understand the algorithm.
Help us fight cheating and abusing Wazers by reporting them.

BUT first we need to know them in order to report them!
Problem 1. If one has just turned on Waze and reports anything than it’s shown as anonymous . The same if one turns on anonymous mode from menu.
So I can’t report them cos I don’t know who they are.
Problem 2. If one wants to delete a report all he needs to do is press “not there” and puff it’s gone. Again no one to blame it on.
My suggestion is for the anonymous mode to cover just if you are shown or not on the map and that the reporting system to be replaced with a voting system(just vote yes or no on the report) + a time expiration of the different types of reports.

Problem 1 - If you can’t determine who is the user who made the multiple reports, give us the exact location, time and date of these reports. We’ll continue from there.
Problem 2 - Reporting “not there” will not automatically takes down the report. it takes certain number of Wazers with certain rank to make the report fade.

I don’t want to go too offtopic, but in some countries/states/provinces photo-radar is illegal. Example: Ontario, Canada
But the Waze Map Editor is absolutely flooded with false photo radar locations. Of course they don’t show on the Live Map, but it’s the same people “usa_*” trying to cash-in extra 6pts.
It’s not just photo radar reports, it’s also false red-light camera reports on major highways, where there are no traffic controlled intersections.
This may not be the appropriate thread to voice suggestions, but hopefully the algorithm also takes these into account.
Way too many times, I see 10 reports in a small suburban crescent. Basically a wazer in his bedroom, playing with the hazard button.
I was flagged and I don’t understand why. All of my traffic and hazard reports were there. Any ideas on how to get my reporting privileges restored? Help me understand why I was flagged.
