Hwy 26 at MP13

Good morning, Hwy 26 at MP13 has significant construction due to land movement.

The speed is 5 mph and the road is extremely dangerous at any speed about 5 mph.

One lane of the WB traffic is closed and all lanes have sunken road. Can you add this to Waze? I posted it last couple of time I went through but the cell service is spotty and many people are not confirming the report due to connection and road conditions.

ODOT Incident 778368 Event 24T099225 on trip check. It is much worse than the trip check report.

What do you want posted? Blocked lane? Construction?

Link to location in map editor to make it easier to find.

Thanks for the note. I think it is construction with blocked lane and 5 mph.

I just put an edit into the editor.

Thanks

When I watch news videos about it, I see yellow advisory signs. Those aren’t technically speed limit changes but suggested speeds.

How far does the impact go? The road you added change for is 3/4 of a mile. It would be better to have just the affected area updated.

I have reached out to ODOT PIO to see if they can provide any information.

I didn’t draw the box, the road impacts are on the western side of the box and the road disruption is about 50m. I had a death in the family and have driven this section of road like 10 times in the last two weeks. I hit the road work at 30 and went airborne. I also have seen some cars not slow down and almost go off the road. It is really bad. I usually would mention anything but it is a safety risk. Here is a news report: https://www.koin.com/local/oregon-coast/hwy-26s-the-bump-sends-cars-airborne-as-locals-fight-for-improvements/

I’m assuming it’s in the same location as the road damage in this imagery.

It is. I was able to reduce the size of the box in the editor based on my Waze reporting ODOTs marking in TripCheck. The uneven road is a little longer than a car length.

Thanks

Thanks. That means what I have is close enough.
