I just paved a new road, but it won't come up on my editor

Hi,

I recently drove up to a new area that did not have a road in Waze. There was no data reception, however the “Pave” function seemed to work.

Upon returning home, it looks like the entire trip was not recorded, as it is all out of my editable area.

Please help!

So a few things:

First - when you close your Waze App - that is when it may send the “Waze Session Data” to the servers, so it is quite important at the end of your drive to make sure you have a good connection.

Some people have been reporting that drives have not been showing up / posting and there may be a delay on the server. If you would like, however, we can post it to the Australia forum to try to add in this new road.

That’s interesting - on the way there, there was no reception so I exited Waze without having any connection. However on the return trip, I put in my home address once I had reception, so there may have been an opportunity for the server to have received my session data.

Either way, I would be grateful if you were to post this on the Australian forum!

There must be a problem with the server. The most recent Drive that is showing up for me is 9 August 2016.

Is that something that you think will fix itself up in the coming days?

I’m not too fussed on points, just that I’d really like to add the road so my friends can find the place using Waze next time!

There are also delays in URs coming through to the editor. More than a week. All you can do is wait and see what happens.

However - we still are able to try to add in the road! Would it be possible to log into the Waze Map Editor or the live map and show us where this new road is that you would like to have added, preferably with a permalink?

I have found in the past that large paves (or long paves I should say) can take a few days to come through to the editor. Wait at least a week before mapping the road separately, as you may end up doubling up the road.

Hello, just tried to do my 1st map edit. Paving a road thru a large parking lot at a Verizon Training Facility off of Zeckendorf Blvd, Garden City, New York, USA. Do not know if it was done correctly. I don’t want the Waze map to become problematic with this addition. Is there anyone in the forum who can check this addition and change or erase, if necessary. Thanks, Stephan Russo aka sjr1962.
