I am a long time Waze user and I really believe that Waze is the “better Google Maps”. Development is continuously going on, there is a great community and the support by the Waze staff is phenomenal. Not to mention all the wonderful features that Waze has which Goole Maps does not. I have noticed that Waze does not seem to be very populuar or at least not very widely used in Switzerland, and I wonder why this is. I live in a tourist area, and in the summer and winter time, when many foreign tourists are driving around in their cars, there are a lot of Waze drivers around and visible on the map. But in the seasons in between, when the tourists are away, the Waze map is always very sparingly showing users. The same is true for most areas of Switzerland, except maybe for the bigger cities where there may be a few Wazers around.
Anyway, since I like Waze very much I have been wondering if there is any way to increase the popularity and use of Waze in Switzerland. What do you think, and why is it that Waze seems to be so much more popular in other countries, e.g. France?
