Hi,
I’m kpouer, my name is Matthieu and I am from France.
I’m french country manager, and also since 2011 algerian country manager too.
I am interested mostly in Algeria edition, but since some wazers paved some roads from algeria to Nigeria (and other countries), I’m trying to validate them.
I already did the road from Algiers to Lagos and I’ll try to validate other roads as soon as I will discover new paved roads.
Hi All,
I am Isah (hypermiler99) currently residing in Nigeria. I have paved and edited several inter-state roads in several states of the country. The biggest challenge I had had is that I paved some roads and I can’t edit them afterwards. So, I am still wondering why I am not able to edit some of the road (several hundreds of kilometers) that I pvaed by driving them.
Secondly, I recently noticed that some new users are beginning to mess up some roads allowed directions/turns thereby compromising the navigation and routing capabilities in these regions. Well, I have started locking the affected parts to a higher level, as I believe that these were mistakenly done by new users who are usually at level 1.
Best regards and have a nice time intelligently navigating your waze while outsmarting the traffics.

Hi, it is a good news you are resident. I validated some roads in Lagos but I cannot edit everywhere.
Mostly I validated major roads but I don’t think I changed name or directions. But if I did some mistakes, don’t hesitate to tell me.
I see most roads in Lagos are not validated (it means there is no city and street name), it is a problem, at least it is mandatory to give a name or check the checkbox telling that it is not necessary otherwise Waze will not be able to use them.
Hi,
My user name is ibaeda,
I just want to bring to your notice that there is a ramp (bridge) connecting point B to A (see attached) which I have already paved. But it’s yet to reflect on the actual map.
FYI
Thanks
Hi Ibaeda
I had a quick look to you request.
you modified data yesterday so probably the will appear on your device after next Map Update …
BUT

You must be aware of few things :
- "red Roads " are unedited…so they will not appear in your device till you will not edit it.
For "unedited " look thst picture :

on the left side you will see that
City field
Street field are empty.
They NEVER have to be empty :
if you do not have either City name or street name, PLEASE FLAG “None”
Ba also carefull that each segment MUST BE CONNECTED to the other
HERE

You can easyly see that segments are not connected because arrows are “red”: you need to make it “green” in order to connect both segments on the right direction
Following these simple instuctions you will help yourself to grow as editor and all other Wazers in Lagos to get advantages of a well edited Waze Map.
On top if you want became AM of part of Lagos , just fill in this form

Waiting for your news

Hello,
Im Nikumankun, currently residing in Port Harcourt.
Any Waze editors in this area feel free to contact me.
Cheers!
I created a Facebook group “Waze in Nigeria” to gather and grow a Wazer community.
Great, but why a private group ?
You can also create a twitter account, I don’t know if twitter is popular in Nigeria.
Hi. My name is Julio. I am Argentinian. I have two small areas near of Maiduguri. Can you give me recommendations or a few rules for editing in this country? Thanks.
Hi, there is not big community in Nigeria, at this time I think the best to do is connect the roads, and choose an appropriate type for them:
Freeway or major highway for long distance routing, minor highway for regional routing, primary street for village to village only.
Fantastic. I’ll do that then. Thank you very much.
Hey Everybody,
I’m new to Abuja but here for at least a year and would like to help fix the maps. There are a lot of connector roads missing. I’m new to map editing and would appreciate any help or advice.
I’ve used Waze a lot in the last 4 years in the US but now that I am on the non-US server, all my stats are set back to zero.

Hi all,
My Name is Aminu. I am new to the WAZE Editor community. I am interested in providing more details to the inter-state roads we have here in Nigeria, as we currently have lots of automobile accidents due to lack of proper navigation help. My goal is to identify problem areas in maps, check points, traffic areas, roadblocks, and to set safe speed limits. In order to give drivers proper alerts on what to expect ahead of them.
Please any help would be awesome. If there is a senior Editor willing to help, that would be great!
please contact me via My Email Amin4712@gmail.com or reply to this thread
Best Regards
Aminu
