Iphone App cant connect to Gps

I have waze for two weeks and it hasnt once connected to the gps signal. It always reads conected to waze…No GPS connection. I live in Los Angles and yes ive stood outdoors.

Try to turn Airplane mode On/Off and return to Waze.

Sūtīts no iPhone ar TapaTalk.

Also check that location services is on, and it hasn’t been disabled explicitly for Waze.

Neither of those things worked, any other options?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. That has fixed other odd issues for some people.

I tried reinstalling the app. That didn’t work. I’ll try it once more. What seemed to a promising app is turning out to be a hassle.

Frustrating, certainly. But it works on hundreds of thousands of phones, thousands of iPhone 3GS units, so there has got to be a good reason why it isn’t working on yours.

Hello,

I’m a bit disappointed by the answers on this topic. I’ve recently ran into the same issue.

  • iPhone 3GS with latest IOS
  • used Waze before and it worked perfect
  • other apps have gps signal
  • tried all resolutions you suggested
  • Waze reports “no gps”
  • uploaded logfiles

Kind regards

Does it show a data connection?

I have an iPhone4 with a Magellan GPS cradle. Sometimes, when I put the phone in the cradle, it disables the native (iPhone) GPS but Waze does not recognize the Magellan either and says I have no GPS. I found that tapping the little Waze icon on the top left and stopping the application and then restarting seems to clear things up. I am getting in the habit of always stopping Waze this way otherwise it seems to think I am traveling when I am just walking around outside. Hope this helps.

Yes the data connection is working and I am connected to Waze.

Also I’ve tried using the Waze top left on/off switch but with no result. Another thing I tried is killing the app through the multi taskbar but no result either.

I have the same issue with my iPhone 4. It will connect to Waze and shows good GPS signal, work for 10-15 minutes, then just drop GPS until you close and reopen app. Works flawlessly on my iPad. Definitely think something is wrong with the iPhone version.

Pretty sure there is no iPad-specific version? Isn’t it a single iOS app?

just restart the phone, then look if you have the gps icon on the top right side on the pnohe

Agreed,

Both my wife and I didn’t have green GPS status until we powered down and restarted our iPhone 4’s
Closing and opening the app didn’t help, only rebooting the phone fixed it for us…
