Issue with phone number formatting in Waze while roaming

Hello,
I would like to report once again a recurring issue with the Waze application regarding the handling of phone calls to local businesses or commerces, particularly while roaming.
When using Waze on a smartphone (iOS or Android) and tapping the call button for a commerce, the application automatically launches the call through the Phone app, but it does not always include the international dialing code (e.g., +33 for France). This omission often causes the call to fail, especially when abroad and roaming.
This behavior is even more problematic now that VoLTE roaming is becoming the norm, while circuit-switched networks (2G/3G) are being phased out. With VoLTE, the network interprets calls according to the national numbering plan of the SIM’s home country, not the visited country, which amplifies the impact of the missing country code.
This issue has been observed in multiple countries, with different operators, and on both major platforms (iOS and Android). It is important to note that it occurs only in the Waze mobile application: when using Waze from a web browser, numbers are handled correctly and calls go through.
I must admit that I do not understand why this problem still has not been fixed, as it appears relatively simple to address from a functional standpoint and it has a real impact on users’ ability to reach commerces, especially when traveling internationally. Competing applications already format numbers systematically in international format, preventing such dialing errors.
It would therefore be appropriate for Waze to always display phone numbers with their international dialing code.
Thank you for taking this feedback into account in order to improve the user experience in an international mobility context.
