Looks like BretMcvey has set a closure until Jan 1. The real time closure feature is limited to rank 3 or higher editors by corporate.

I’ll get to work on that closure. Do you happen to know what the duration is for it? I’ve seen what the start date was, but not the expected closure date.
If you are interested in map editing, myself and other would gladly work with you to ramp you up so as to maximize your edits. We all start from the same place, and you are correct there are some things that are locked up higher or some features such as setting closures that are restricted to editors with more experience. This isn’t intended to make the map impossible to work with, it’s intended to protect the map from the rare person that might attempt to make malicious changes.
I’m going to work this area in a couple of stages as it appears we’re missing a new street off Ely Rd that is going to be accessible for residents via 140th St.
We do have a Google Hangout for Iowa if you wish to relay information more quickly to local/regional editors.
