I had taken a bit of a detour off the M6 to fill up with cheap fuel that had been updated in the last couple of days only to find it has been completely demolished :evil: . However once there Waze searched for fuel in the area and found a Tesco very close by that was even cheaper .
There are signs up to say it is being rebuilt however looking at the state of it I suspect it will be quite a few weeks before it is open again. If you modify then you can have the UR that I dropped a few yards to the south.
Itās still listed on the ASDA website, so I guess they are going to rebuild and reopen. Therefore Iāve changed the name and the road address to start TEMP CLOSED.
Iāve also deleted the prices. With ālandmarksā, all that was needed to get rid of prices remotely was to change the type away from āgas stationā, save, then change it back again and resave.
Now that we have āplacesā, the prices reappear when you change it back to āgas stationā, so Iāve had to delete and recreate. Just hope I havenāt created a new āghostā.
Please can the first person to find it reopened get rid of the TEMP CLOSED (and put prices in).
Or are they still going to rebuild, and have just removed it from their website while itās not there?
If the former, obviously it (and itās āparking lotā road) should be obliterated from the Waze map. Itās downlocked now (I can never see any justification for petrol stations being locked higher than L3) so you can handle it.
I believe they are going to re-build, think I saw a sign there to that effect but as I said it could be quite a while.
Iām not local, only stopped there on way from up north to down south to get cheap fuel, but hopefully one of the local editors will keep an eye on it.
Iāll make a note to check the Asda website in a month then weekly after that to see if it has been re-opened.
