Road is shown at ground elevation crossing ON TOP of railway. This is incorrect. The railway continues on raised embankment and road dips below ground level to go UNDER the railway. Can this please be corrected?
It isn’t, in fact, incorrect. The road is at what would reasonably be considered ground level - it’s not a tunnel, not is it a bridge.
At the moment, the Waze client does not take any notice of relative elevations between segments. Segments are placed above/below each other purely based on the road type. We also have a current convention of putting all railroads at elevation -5 - and you can’t go “under” that.
When Waze starts rendering elevation properly in the client (and we’ve been asking for this for years), the correct thing will be to make a section of the railway elevation +1.
But, until then, Waze have specifically told us not to worry about elevations. Of course, given our obsessive nature, I think most of us still do.
Hi Iain,
thanks again - obviously I’ll have to hide this from the other half that says I am OCD anyhow!
