L5 unlock in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Qc

Hi,

I am level 2 editor, I was trying to reflect the change on avenue St-Charles in Vaudreuil-Dorion that has now splitted lane, but I cannot do any connection to the Highway entrance and exit because they are locked to L5. Please unlock or complete the work.

Same situation on south side of the 40.

I think I have managed to tidy it up on the south side, there were a bunch of tiny segments. Is the new overpass finished?
North side needs both ramps unlocked to finish the job.

Yes good job for the south side, I wa unable to delete the tiny segments, I do not know why! Hopefully someone will take care of north side because it is not routable at all right now!

I unlocked the ramps.

But that’s not the only problem:

  • The road through the gas station is not attached to St-Charles.
  • The turns from St-Charles southbound at the intersection of Joseph-Carrier are not allowed.
  • The gas station road has an extra handle where it meets Joseph-Carrier.
  • The south side of Joseph-Carrier has an extra node.

There may be more issues. These are just the ones I saw. :slight_smile:

The ramps were not correctly connected to st-charles and generated an auto report from waze.
I corrected using a bowtie.
It also solved the u-turn restrictions.
Going to drive there tomorrow, will update asap.
I also connected the road through the gas station, thx Webs.

Because they’re incredibly ugly and confusing for drivers.

I was at a Waze conference last weekend, and consensus is to avoid using them.

If you could unlock I could fix all of this in a snap I drive there almos everyday! Now it is horrifying mess

Also, it is still locked to Level 3 most of it so I can’t fix it.

Go ahead, make sure you connect the ramps correctly, they were not, check the live map, you’ll see the ramps passing under st-charles.
And BTW, it’s not a mess, it’s the cleanest you can get, but it’s a bowtie…
Also don’t seperate st-charles south of joseph cartier.

Why not separate? The is an island there and it is separate?

edit: The ramp were not connected properly because I could not connect them to a level 5 ramp!

Ok I fixed it bu I did separate south of Carrier, although if there is a good reason that I might not know of to not do it, please just let me know and I will put it back single line, I just do not see the advantage of it not being as it really is in reality. I seriously do not want to cause any trouble, just want to understand why.

I’ve done it before in a similar setting and doctorkb lvl5 told me not to split for such short distances.

Here you go, I fixed it to not have the split south of Joseph-Carrier, the ramp can be locked again!
