I am new to this, but spent some time last week updating the road lay out in the centre of Leek to reflect the removal of a roundabout, an issue which had been flagged up by another user, I logged on today to find that it has been put back by a level (5) who obviously has no local knowledge and has not driven through the area recently. This is totally frustrating. Not sure I will be contributing to this anymore as obviously I am wasting time trying to help. The concept of Waze is good, but if correct changes are made and then overridden it is no better than TomTom.
There is a comment in the guide about not relying on aerial views when editing maps, but it seems that this doesn’t apply when you reach level 5. I have personally driven through this area a number of times since the removal of the roundabout and went to the trouble of checking the turn permissions at the new traffic lights before editing.
However, I am now disillusioned and somewhat cheesed off and certainly reconsidering the use of Waze.
I think the problem with it in this situation is that we have no AM for that area (Not that I can see). So when we fill roads and names etc… we have to rely on various maps to put data in.
If you message the level 5 and let him know it is no longer there, then it can be fixed again and locked.
Or, if you fix it again, and PM me the permlink of the area, I will happily lock it for you.
Also, feel free to apply to be the area manager of that area! More the merrier 
Hi Paulgolik, welcome.
Try and chill-out a little bit. It’s unfortunate that your first editing has been un-done, but I’m sure it wasn’t deliberate, and remember we’re working towards the same goal, but that the process isn’t perfect by a long stretch.
So do as Brooksy suggests and talk to the lvl5 involved, you’ll find (s)he will go out of their way to sort it out.

I know for experience that the editor level 5 did not have any intention to mess with your edit, like the guys said, probably there is no local Area Manager for that area so Country editors need to rely on other sources, like council maps, OS OpenData, etc and they take some time to be updated.
I think you should apply for AM of that area, will be very good for us to have you on board and probably nobody will delete anything without talking to you first.
