Can I please request an unlock to Level 0 or a change for the crossover of Kingsway, Gymea at the junction between Milburn Road and Gymea Bay Road please to allow the appropriate safe turns from either street onto Kingsway.

Hi hoppy2510 first of all thanks for jumping onto the forums and updating your roads!
I can see you’ve got confused the difference between url=http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php/Map_Editing_(new_Editor)?title=Creating_and_Editing_street_segments#Road_Level Level[/url] and Lock (editor level). The unlock request is necessary if the Lock is above your current Editing level.
I can see that you’re at editing level 1 which means you can edit this segment yourself. If you can’t, it might be because you haven’t driven near it recently. I’ve attached a screenshot showing the field you need to worry about.

I do understand the difference between road level - for overpasses etc. - and editor level, but I thought I was reading it correctly. What was happening was that the arrows to select which turns are allowed were showing red, and were not allowing me to change them to green, and even the allow all turns option was ghosted. I drive the section every time I go out, so that’s not the problem either. Do you know what might be the problem there?
Oh, and I am enjoying editing my area, but I will probably drive some other suburbs soon to unlock them so I can do even more editing. I find it relaxing.

As jeedo has already said, thanks for jumping in the forums to let us help you! We hope you enjoy your time on Waze.
I’ve had a look at this and the problem is due to the Level 3 restrictions on Kingsway, Gymea. As you are still at Level 1, you can only Edit roads that are at your Level or lower. Hence why the turn Arrows are greyed out.
As you continue Wazing, your points will increase and so will your Level restrictions.
I’ve fixed the turn restrictions on the intersection for you and cleaned up some of the node junctions of your work on other streets.

Thanks for the tidy-up ps_au, appreciate that.
When I first started editing, I’ll admit to not being 100% accurate to the nodes and turns, but I have since cleaned up my act, and now I make sure I complete all steps including checking nodes and turns on a street before moving onto the next one.
Onward and upward I go with more editing.
